B. Montrell Jackson Tragedy
“These are trying times. Please don’t let hate infect your heart.”
Montrell Jackson was a police officer in Baton Rouge killed by a lone gunman seeking retribution against the police. Jackson was a father of a four month old son at the time of his death. Two weeks before he died, Jackson posted the following Facebook status in response to increased violence between black civilians and cops in the summer of 2016:
